The Association's activities are supported primarily by the amazing efforts of its volunteers, as well as membership fees. The volunteers take time from their often busy personal lives in order to help to maintain the Association, despite being under no obligation to do so. Without them, the IWBKA would not exist.
Should you wish to discuss the possibility of being a member, a volunteer or indeed, would like any advice on beekeeping matters, please don’t hesitate to contact us. As volunteers, although we try to do our best, we cannot promise we will be able to respond promptly to queries.

Swarms
We really appreciate your wish to remove bees in a humane way and, while a good number of swarms are found in relatively safe to access places, some are not. Rescuing bees from, for example, high buildings and chimneys is usually a very complex task, as it often involves ladders or even scaffolds, and thus need to be undertaken by professionals specialised in, and insured for, this sort of swarm collection.
Our team of volunteers are not trained or ensured to perform such a task, but thankfully there are companies who specialise in this sort of work, for example the ones listed below (there may be others that can provide the same or similar services):
